Venetian plaster paint – You can turn a regular room into something really beautiful by using a Venetian plaster finish. The Venetian plaster gives a very smooth wall finish and a rich, layered look. Venetian plaster looks amazing on a whole wall, or on the lower part of a wall under the chair-rail casting. Venetian plaster adds character and class to the interior of your home without spending much money. Instead of hiring an expensive decorator, save money by installing the plaster itself. Thoroughly clean the room and throw the cloths down on the floor for protection. Remove switch plates from the wall, or cover them with painters’ tape.
Use patching compound to patch any holes or serious cracks in the wall. Let patching compound to dry, then sand the patch nice and smooth. Attach the 100-grit sandpaper to a Scratch head. Screw the grinding head on an extension pole and completely sand the wall from top to bottom, for a nice, even surface. Blue painters’ tape for casting, baseboard and trim. Put painters’ tape in the wall and ceiling corners if you want to keep adjacent walls clean. Scoop Venetian plaster from the container and mix it in a metal or plastic mud pan. Use a 4-inch drywall taping knife to blend it into a fine texture. Wear gloves to keep your hands clean and eye protection if you apply venetian plaster paint to the ceiling.
Apply a thin layer of venetian plaster paint with either a 4-inch drywall taping knife or a flexible steel sparkle. If you use a steel sparkle, spread Venetian plaster at a 30 degree angle. Apply the Venetian plaster in random strokes at different angles. Keep plaster thin and slippery. Leave the first coat of drywall to dry according to the manufacturer’s instructions before the other layer.
Keep the spark at 90 degree angle and use the same color on Venetian plaster in other areas. Use overlapping coats to cover the surface thoroughly, fill some left-over cavities and high capacity from the first coat. Let other coats of Venetian plaster dry completely. Rub 400 sandpaper over Venetian plaster to use time surface. You can also pull the flat end of steel sparkle over the surface for polishing. Wipe the surface with a damp cloth or cloth. Apply a final layer of Venetian plaster to polished surface. Use the steel sparkle to use the tire.
