The work of Mexican-born composer and Trotter Visiting Professor Ricardo Zohn-Muldoon is performed by acclaimed sopranbo Tony Arnold as part of the Vanguard Series for new and emerging artists. Zohn-Muldoon is a member of thew faculty at the University of Richester's Eastman School of Music. Honors include being named a 2011 Pulitzer Prize finalist for his work Comala, numerous fellowships from the bodies including the Guggenheim Foundation and Tanglewood Music Center (Omar del Carlo Foundation), and commissions from noted institutions and ensembles in Mexico, the U.S., and Europe. Noted soprano and new music specialist Tony Arnold is a member of the faculty at the University of Buffalo. Arnold has appeared with leading new music ensembles across the nation. She was the first vocalist ever to be awarded first prize in the prestigious Gaudeamus International Interpreters Competition (Holland). She also took first prize in the Louise D. McMahon International Music Competition (USA).
