On May 12, 2012 Oregon Supported Living Program presents a fundraising event, the “OSLP Pedal for People Metric Century Ride.” It is a 100K (66.6 mile, exactly) bike ride beginning and ending at Armitage Park in Eugene, Oregon. Alternate routes include the 39.5 mile, “Double Bridge Loop,” and family friendly, 1.5 mile, “Parade for People” around the park. After the ride, enjoy a barbeque dinner, bluegrass music from the Conjugal Visitors and more!
Oregon is known for scenic and diverse cycling routes, and this is no exception! This fun, challenging route begins with a ride through the morning mist of the McKenzie River and pastoral country views. After the first stop in Marcola it continues along the Mohawk River to a stop on the Calapooia River at McKercher Park. After passing Brownsville and the last stop, a warm welcome awaits at Armitage Park.
OSLP is a nonprofit organization that provides quality residential and vocational services to men and women in Lane County who have developmental disabilities. Pedal for People will raise funds to expand services and create pathways to better lives and community involvement for OSLP clients.
